| This year, Nancy and I won't be getting a Christmas tree of our own,
what with the puppies and our holiday travels, but Eric and Michelle invited
us to go along with them on their Christmas tree hunt. We started off looking
at a couple of Christmas tree farms in the valley, but Eric didn't like
the quality of the trees so much. He figured the trees would be better
up in the hills, due to the difference in weather, so he headed the minivan
up into the Santa Cruz mountains.
Sure enough, Eric was very pleased with the trees at the very next tree farm we found. We wandered around until he found the perfect tree. |

While Eric paid and bundled the tree into the minivan, Michelle, Nancy, and Lexi enjoyed a puppet show. |
| When we got back and unloaded the tree, we had to do a little trimming to get it to fit into the stand. | ![]() |

Lexi helped out in unpacking the lights and decorations, and she really liked it when Eric turned on the computerized blinking lights while they were still inside the box. Hopefully I'll get some pictures of the fully decorated tree once they're done. |
