The Loomis Basin Equestrian Center breeding program centers around producing attractive, athletic horses with good minds. This youngster, a second generation LBEC breeding, demonstrates how these goals are achieved.
Edie Lehman had a special place in her heart for his dam, LENITA MIA++, as she did for her dam LENE. Her personal riding horse for many years, Edie showed LENITA to multiple regional wins as well as a National Top Ten. LENITA is adept at dressage, sport horse under saddle and trail. She's also done a bit of reining.
His Trakehner sire, FEUERTANZER, contributed solid bone and additional athletic ability to the mix.
FYRREPOWER received his initial training at LBEC where for the first two years of his life he was trained, handled and shown by Edie Lehman and Shirley Koch.
And a full two years it was!
Excelling at Sport Horse in Hand, Baby, as he is called in the barn, won nearly every class he entered, a tradition which continues today in his fledgling dressage career.
In his first four years, this exceptional youngster has:
- Earned four of the six Arabian Horse Association Achievement Awards. He has his Legion of Honor, Legion of Supreme Honor, Legion of Merit and Legion of Supreme Merit.
- Won two National Championships and a National Top Ten.
- Garnered four Regional Championships, one Regional Reserve Championships and one Regional Top Five, three Pacific Slopes Championships, one Pacific Slopes Reserve Championship and one Pacific Slopes Top Five.
- USEF All-Breeds Awards Reserve National Champion, Training Level.
- Scored consistently over 70% at open dressage shows in training level.
