| Edie Lehman and Shirley Koch are both full-time professional horse trainers with many championships in the show arena and thousands of miles of trail riding experience. The primary focus is on Western and Hunter Pleasure with horses advancing to specialty skills, such as trail, cutting, western riding, reining, hunter hack and dressage. However the operation has also trained many successful show horses in halter, sidesaddle, Country English Pleasure, and costume |

Edie trained and showed SILVER HILLS DRUMSON and at Oklahoma City, they won the Morgan World Championship in Trail. DRUMSON is now being shown by the owner’s grandson in Western and Hunter Pleasure and of course Trail. DRUMSON also serves as his mount in the Foothill Riders youth drill team. |
|
Shirley has over 3500 miles in distance competition (competitive trail and endurance racing) with numerous regional and national awards to her credit. She focuses more on teaching trail riding. Shirley also served as the training officer for Placer County Mounted Unit Search and Rescue. |

Edie and Shirley have trained many, many successful show horses both Arabian and Morgan. Many of the horses they start and show initially, then continue their winning ways for their owners. For example FERSHAN’S CHEROKEE is a half-Arabian pinto that they started and showed the first season to numerous championships or reserve championships in both Hunter Pleasure and Saddle seat. The next season his amateur owner showed him to many more championships, including Pacific Slopes Reserve Champion Costume Horse. |
Loomis Basin Equestrian Center also markets horses and is especially proud of the horses they sell that continue their winning ways for new owners. PC SERMANO is an EL HERMANO son, bred by one of our clients. They started this handsome colt and showed him Hunter Pleasure very successfully. He was subsequently purchased by another client and went on to become Region III dressage champion two years in a row. |

Shirley Koch has been an Arabian breeder for many years. She owned the Reserve National Halter Champion Stallion, SANEYN, for many years. Shirley bred and raised MISS STACIE ANN and started this lovely filly. She was a winner in halter and trail. STACIE was then purchased by a client who went on to win Hunter Pleasure Champion at their first Class A horse show together. |
Loomis Basin Equestrian Center is a full-service facility. It has a large covered and lighted arena. With two full-time professional trainers and a staff of assistants, this operation is constantly at full throttle. They start youngsters and some not-so-youngsters. SILVER HILLS SELLECK was nine years old when started. He was Hunter Pleasure Champion at this second horse show. He then went on to be a very successful show horse and super trail horse for his amateur owner.
| Edie Lehman is a nationally known judge. Edie has judged Arabian shows at all levels including Scottsdale, regional championships and prestigious futurities, and the U.S. Nationals |
