EL HERMANO (SX SALADIN x ALLA FARWA) IAHA SWEEPSTAKES NOMINATED SIRE February 13, 1976 – October 31, 2004 EL HERMANO exemplified the very best of what we love about Arabian horses. He had some big shoes to fill right from the beginning. His name reflected the fact that he was the half-brother to two multi-national champions, DEMACIADO and TU-RIFF. As a show horse he built a phenomenal record: winning cutting horse, Western Pleasure Champion and Regional Champion and US Top Ten Trail Horse. He was also shown successfully in dressage, Hunter Pleasure and Country Pleasure. Arabian versatility was one of his many virtues. His get won in halter and futurities as well as performance. Trends change but quality endures and his offspring have continued to excel. This year’s winners include Reg III Top Ten Sport Horse in Hand AND Under Saddle, LOOKIN FOR TROUBL, National Champion Half-Arabian JOTR Trail, JUSTINA STARLET, and US Top Ten Sport Horse Under Saddle, LENITA MIA. EL HERMANO also served as Edie’s personal riding horse for many years. As such he led big group trail rides, ponied or served as “babysitter” for young trail horses, and could always be counted on to do the job, whatever it was. He was a very special horse!
