I'm a California playwright with a quirky global perspective and long writing life as an award-winning poet, journalist, literary non-fiction writer, and historian.

Why do I write plays? I'd stop if I could! I feel called to bear witness to the mysteries. I like re-arranging words and events to see whether I can bring another reality to life. The collaborative nature of theatre is nourishing. And the Bay Area is a fine place to develop, attend, and enjoy new theatre.

Plan to attend Pear Slices at the Pear Theatre May 13-29--I have two plays, you can come twice and see two different sets of plays, and it is always great! See

Piedmont Center for the Arts is doing another short  play of mine, A Billion Goodbyes, this June! See Benchwarmers One Act Play Festival

Finally, I'm a semi-finalist in New York City's Moonlight Theatre Productions for political plays! Keeping my ears up for notification in about whether my play about the Disappeared in Argentina is going to be selected for production in the best theatre town on earth !
