Reno Dawn Patrol '99
1984 was my first year as a Pilot. Light and variable winds prevail, making the winners of the competition work for their prizes. Patience is king and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Some pilots will make 3 passes over the target area trying to improve their position. The Great Reno Balloon Race is scheduled each September for the weekend after Labor Day. The weekend just prior to the Reno Air Races.
