Tom under canopy.
6 man stack with US Flag, Tom is second from the bottom!
Tom is upper right in this freefall stunt!
It was absolutely the most incredible experience! I felt at one with the universe, as if the hand of God was holding me up.
This jump took place in Paso Robles, CA. After dropping several sky divers from the balloon basket, I just had to try it! Being afraid of heights didn't help either. But at last we were at 10,000 above Paso Robles Airport. Because we were traveling at 120 mph, I felt like I was being held up, not falling. It was so clear, we could see the ocean, and at least 25 miles in each direction. Once under canopy, it was similar to descending in the balloon, without a burner to slow the fall when we reached the ground. I loved it, but self preservation instincts took over and decided once was enough! Al Stevens was the instructor. Photo by Paul Huston
