This Internet site reflects my trip to Cairo, Egypt in November, 1997 The pictures were taken with a digital camera. Some are not of the best quality, but I've chosen to include them because of the places they represent.

This site and my site on Israel are intended for use by students studying Israel, Egypt, or ancient civilizations. The pictures on these pages may be used by students in reports, web pages, and multimedia projects. I request, that as part of their educational process, students cite this web site in their bibliographies. I'd, also, appreciate a short email message from students letting me know how they have used these pictures. It is my hope that some of these photos will find their way into digital videos, electronic slide show presentations, and other educationally valuable multimedia projects.

I have included links to other sites on Egypt that seemed appropriate for students. I would hope that any use of this site represents a balanced study of Egypt that includes other Internet resources, books, encyclopedias, videos, CD Rom, laserdiscs and other electronic informatation. I hope this site is able to spark the desire to learn about, to know about, and to visit other places on our earth.
