Zoser's Step Pyramid Zoser's pyramid is 62.5 m high and has a base of 125 m by 109 m. It was built in three stages. The first was a large mastaba. The second was a four stepped pyramid and the final was this six stepped pyramid. It has many galleries, tunnels and rooms. Zoser's Pyramid is part of a funerary complex that is 8 kilometers long and one kilometer wide. This Third Dynasty Pyramid is located on the West bank of the Nile River south of Cairo and Giza. It is part of a chain of pyramids along the West bank of the Nile. |
