HG08- - Pair of USN Commander/Captain visor caps. Both are in nice condition and do show some age but no issues. They are both named to R.A.Kiner who was commissioned in 1946 and was a Naval Aviator. He served 4 years on active duty and then 20 more in the reserves. He rose to the rank of captain. He had the unique experience of accidentally dropping a bomb (non-explosive practice one) on the city of San Francisco! He was heading for the bombing range when the WW2 bomb rack failed and dropped a bomb. He was unaware of it until he was returning home from training. I will provide a copy of the write up and details of his service. Both caps are whicker framed Bancroft made. The khaki one has heavy bullion on the visor while the white one has the more modern thread-like bullion. Both are tagged as a size 7 3/8.
