Item CW02-Civil War canteen with cover and strap! Another hard to find Civil War item. This canteen is complete with stopper and chain. Missing one of the strap holders (rusted off), it still displays quite well. Dated on the spout, Feb. 1865. The real deal --$395--

Item CW03 -Interesting eagle button. This is tunic sized and has a double "V" in the shield. I have seen several dealers state that these were made for veterans of the shortlived Regiment of Voltigeurs formed in the 1840s to serve in the Mexican War. Could also be vor Verteran Volunteers. Not sure. Made by Waterbury. Nice condition, probably unused. --$49--

ITEM CW04 - Original Confederate Infantry script "I" button. Unused and clean. Backmark: "HALFMANN & TAYLOR MONTGOMERY" --$275--

ITEM CW07- Nice flexable union cap box. This is unmarked but is original. Has the wool inside and still even has the nipple pick! Lots of life in the leather with no serious cracks or flaking. --$145--

Item CW08 -I bought several of these a few years back and thought I sold them all. Found this one hidden away. It is, I believe, a 1850s-60s US Militia NCO sword hanger. Cloth belt is adjustable with a shoe lace affair. Leather holder is securely sewn to the belt. This fits a standard US NCO sword quite well but also would work for the 1840s-50s militia NCO sword pictured. Leather is begining to rot/tear/flake where the stress is but it is still great for display. Reasonable price of --$90--

Item CW09 -Nice set of Civil War officer epauletes. These are in a later tin with a missing hinge part. The epauletes are in outstanding condition with no damaged coils. They have hand made infantry pillows for the 2nd infantry regiment. The 1st lieutenant bars are reproduction bullion. There is a clear outline of a lieutenant's bar on the epaulets so the collector I bought these from added reproductions. They are clearly stamped "Scmuyler Hartley & Graham" and "New York" on the brass. A very nice pair of Civil War rank epauletes. --$399--

Item MISC01- Very nice set of reproduction breast cords. These are for the 1880s officer frock coats for mounted officers. These are very high quality repros. With originals going for over $1000, these are just fine until you can afford an orignial set. -- $255--

Item MISC02- Reproduction helmet cords. These are for the 1880s mounted officer helmets. These are very high quality repros that have been aged. Real nice set. -- $155 --

Item MISC03 - 1880s US Army mess kit. Consists of a pan and a plate helt together by the pan handle. I believe this was the first version of the 2 piece mess kits that evolved over the next 100 years. No major dents and it still goes together well. --$85--

Item MISC04-1870s-80s Kings Patent cartridge box. This was one of the cartridge box systems submitted for review to be accepted for active army use. It has an interesting configuration with three rows of loops holding 10 rounds each. The outer row folds down exposing the two additional rows. This sample is in overall good condition. Has all the straps and cartridge loops. The leather straps are dry and one of the side closure straps and the main cover strap are split. The box will display in an Indian War display quite well. These are not very common. Bullets are not included. --$350--

MISC05- Pair of Span Am period artillery captain’s shoulder straps. These are nice bullion ones with the correct wool center field. The outside trim is missing but the set comes with correct replacement bullion wire should you want to replace the trim. --$165--

Item MISC07- 1881 FG Inf officer's plummed dress helmet. It's all original and has a partial Horstmann label inside. It even has the owner's name written inside ("Maj Clark"). The sweatband has been reglued with the addition of a repro silk liner. The only defect, if you can call it that, is the fact that the threaded post that goes through the plume socket and secures the plume to the helmet is two pieces instead of one. This appears to be a fix to repair a broken post. Since it is not visable unles it is removed from the plume holder, I do not think this is a big issue. Helmet has the correct yak hair plume instead of the horsehair plume usually found. The number on the shield is "2". Overall, a very nice named mounted officer's helmet at a reasonable price. --$2410--

Item MISC08- Here is an original New York State Militia busby for the "A" Squadron of NY Cavalry. They were authorised to wear a very fancy uniform including this European style busby. These are not often found and this one is in great condition. --$900--

This coat is fully lined and has an inside breast pocket on each side. It is loose on a size 36 maniquine. There are a few very minor snags or moth nips but nothing that detracts from display. --$369--

Item MISC12- Cool early officer's tunic. It has hidden buttons up the front. It has mohair trim all over the front and gilt New York staff buttons for accent. Standing collar with white silk between two bullion trim stripes for infantry. Mohair trim at both sleeves as well as the back. Has has NY buttons at the cuffs. Shoulder straps with the bullion number "1". Also set up for shoulder paddles or straps with embroidered eyelettes for ties to go through. Quilted lining and marked to "Co. B". A sweet eary militia coat that probably dates to the 1870s. Also has a Warner Brothers Wardrobe stamp in the lining. Cool, used in the movies. --$179--

Has a matched pair of pattern 1872 New York National Guard artillery officer’s full dress shoulder knots. Each knot has a red wool pad with a single embroidered silver bar on each side of a silver embroidered Adjutant’s shield, with the number “13” embroidered in silver below. This entire uniform configuration is for 1st Lt who was the Regimental Adjutant of the 13th Artillery Regiment, NYNG. Each knot has a federal pattern button with an “A” on its shield. Would look great with an enlisted spike helmet. (Belt not included.) --$375--

This is in great condition with no moth damage , rips, tears or stains. Has the correct USMC domed buttons. I think it is a size 34-35 (will not fully button on a size 36 maniquine). The lower hook and eye closure at the neck is missing. Fully lined. Named and it looks like it had a medal on the breast at one time. Dated 1907-08. Nice clean example. --$320--

Item MISC19- Very nice, early pattern 1895 coat. Un named but a superb example of the early coat and insignia. 2nd Infantry false embroidered crossed rifles and matching USs. Pristine 1st lieutenant shoulder straps. Small size. There is some scattered moth damage. Mostly confined to the back. Not bad enough to detract from display. A fine, early example. --$575--

The brass is the hard to find style with the adjutant's shield under the crossed rifles. Nice 1st lieutenant's shoulder straps. Small size coat and trousers. No major issues with either. Trouser ID tag has been cut to remove the name so I suspect these were matched by the collector. --$479--

Item MISC22-Pattern 1895 blue/black coast artillery 2nd lieutenant's coat. This looks to be named to a NYNG officer but it is all Federal in pattern. Overall good condition with no mothing or stains. Item MISC25-1902 pattern officer's coat. M1902 eagles on the collar. Beautiful staff major's shoulder straps and an awsome high collar. Correct hidden buttons and side slits. Tag at the collar indicates this was made at the West Poinr Cadet Store (USMA). Unfortunatly, it is un named. Small size. Adjutants insignia at the collar. Two pencil tip sized moth holes that do not distract. Nice example and hard to find insignia. --$445--

Item MISC26- Awesome and seldom seen pattern 1895 Engineer officer’s uniform. Tunic and breeches in outstanding condition. (Engineers did not wear red and white trim straps until the 1902 regulations). The coat has no flaws that I can find. There is a Philippine Campaign ribbon pinned on the front. Been there a long time. The corduroy breeches are also very nice. Just about 3 pin sized moth nips that in no way detracts. Coat is approx a size 38. Breeches measure 34x27. The name tag in the coat has been cut leaving only the top portion of the name, but with some research, one might be able to figure out who this officer was.
