THE COLONEL'S CACHE WW1 INSIGNIA

Item WW01 -Here is a nice WW1 enlistedman's navy jumper. Blue wool with the draw strings at the waist. This is a faily large jumper too. It is loose on a size 38 maniquine. No rank or service stripes. All buttons are there and it is free of mothing, rips and tears. Some staining in the armpits. --$39--

Item WW03- Awesome Officer Motor Transport Corps collar disc. This is one of the rare "TIFFANY Co." ones. Clearly marked on the back. Nice solid pinback and hook. Sterling wheel. Great condition. These are real tough to find. --$299--

Item WW04-WW1 enlistedman's wool tunics. Standard issue. All buttons. These are all in good shape with very minor mothing. Size 36. --$75--

Item WW06- Model 1917 tunic. Size 36-37 General HQ tunic. Super veg. ivory buttons(except for the two top pocket buttons). These have no shank but have two holes for the thread to sew them onto the tunic. Very nice GHQ patch and US and Infantry (HQ) discs. Corporal stripe and two overseas stripes. Nice depot tag with 1917 date. Scattered mothing throughout -$124-

Item WW08- Nice private purchace 5th Division signalman's tunic. I can't figure out the maker but it looks like it was made in Tacoma. Anyway, no rips, tears or stains. No mothing. Has a nice 5th Division patch on the left sleeve and a Signal PFC patch on the right. US and Signal discs. Chest measures 41 inches. Nice coat. --$135--

Item WW09-SOLD

Item WW10-Here is a real nice cotton khaki WW1 7th Corps tunic. Small size but there are no rips, tears or stains. Interesting that while the patch is hand applied to the tunic and apears to be quite original, there are no other patches on the tunic nor does it appear that there ever were. All the buttons are there. No collar discs. One of the grommet holes seems a little close to the edge. Not a big issue. Just put a disc a little bit to the right anc cover the hole with it. Anyway, The patch is bullion on wool. Very nice tunic. --$110--

Item WW11-Mint condition 36th Division tunic. While this has a tag in the lining with a date of 1920, it is of the correct WW1 style. Still has an issue tag in the collar as well as on the back. Marked as a size 33. The division patch is a nice silk embroidered one on wool. There is a small moth hole on the wool part that does not affect the embroidery. There is no evidence of mothing below the patch so this may indicate that the vet applied the old patch to a new uniform. No other insignia. --$135--

Item WW14- 88th Division enlistedman's tunic. This one is in very good condition. There are what appear to be 2 very tiny moth nips, not a detraction. One button needs to be resewn. This is, appropriatly enough, a private purchace made by a Minnesota tailor. No discs but it has one overseas stripe. -$125-

Item WW15-Large sized 89th Division tunic. About a size 40, this tunic is a private purchace. Has scattered mothing but displays well. Has USNA and Artillery discs, sergeant stripes and gunners rate on the right sleeve and 3 bullion overseas stripes embroidered directly to the left sleeve. Veg. ivory buttons with one missing and one that needs to be resewn. -$135-

Item WW17 --SOLD--

Item WW18- Nice Service of Supply tunic. This one has a nice Signal Corps corporal stripe on the right sleeve and 2 overseas bullion stripes on the left. Insignificant moth nips and overall, in very nice condition. -$135-

Item WW19- Model 1917 tunic. Size 40 20th Railroad Transportation Engineer tunic. I am not positive on the unit number. The tunic is a bit rough with very bad mothing to the lower right pocket as well as a quarter sized hole at the last button hole. Several other lesser moth spots too. two small pocket buttons are off the uniform but will be supplied. USNA and engineer discs. Nice sergeant stripe, 2 bullion overseas stripes and a discharge stripe. Depot tag in the lining with the 1917 date. Not often do I run across these unique type patches. -$124-

Item WW20- Super clean 1918 dated Motor Transport Corps tunic. This has a very nice patch and a fairly rare MTC PFC rank badge. Comes with the corect MTC and US collar discs. Missing 2 buttons but they will be supplied with the coat. One bullion overseas stripe and a discharge stripe. Nice blemish free coat with some nice insignia. --$255--

Item WW21- --SOLD-

Item WW22- Another nice M1911 US Army campaign hat. This one does not have the laces as they were usually discarded by the soldier in favor of a leather chin strap. Has the correct 5 rows of stitching around the brim edge. There are small slits in the brim where the soldier had made provisions for the leather chinstrap. Nice leather sweatband but no markings. The hat shows use with some soiling and minor moth tracks. There are two very minor holes infront on the brim that really do not detract from use or display. Size tag inside indicates it is a size 7. Overall, a nice representitve WW1 campaign hat. -$74-

Item WW23- Here is a M1911 US Army campaign hat that has the 1916 upgrade of metal grommets for the leather chin strap. Has the correct 5 rows of stitching around the brim edge. Leather sweatband is a little brittle and has no markings. The hat shows use with some soiling and minor moth tracks. There is very minor hole on the side that does not detract from use or display. There is no size tag but it seems small. Overall, a nice representitve WW1 campaign hat. -$74-

Item WW24- Here is another M1911 US Army campaign hat that has the 1916 upgrade of metal grommets for the leather chin strap. Has the correct 5 rows of stitching around the brim edge. Nice leather sweatband but no markings. The hat shows use with what looks like small reapirs by each grommet hole. With a hat cord, these will not be visable. As they are, they do not detract from use or display. There is no size tag. My guess is a size 7. Overall, a nice representitve WW1 campaign hat. -$74-

Item WW25-US Army WW1 overseas caps. These were issued in place of the much loved campaign hats. Have a mixe of British made and US made ones. Good condition. Some minor mothing mothing. Suitable for reenacting or display. Small sizes. --$25--

Item WW26-WW1 style cotton breeches. These have the zinc, US Army buttons at the fly. Faded khaki and some wear but good for display. Small sizes.--$25--

Item WW27- --SOLD--

Item WW28- Nice solid 9 pocket, mounted infantry ammo belt with pistol pouch. These are getting real hard to find anymore. This one is dated 11/18 and made by LONG. Has a couple of light green stains and 90 years worth of storage dust/dirt. Should clean up nice. The pistol clip pouch is also made by Long and dated 9/18 --$155--

Item WW29- M1910 Garrison belt with 2 rimmed button eagle snap ammo pouches. Marked on the brass as made by Mills Woven Cartridge Belt Co. Some minor fraying to the bottom rear of the belt. Not a detracting from wear or display. Ammo pouches are in very good condition with one clearly marked to Mills and dated 1914. Very nice set at a very reasonable price. -$215-

Item WW30-Unissued US Army Browning Automatic Rifleman's belt. These have the 4 BAR clip pouches and a double 45 automatic clip pouch on the belt. There is a steel cup on the right side that was used to hold the butt of the BAR while the rifleman advanced and fired. A really unique WW1 infantry display item. Maker marked and WW1 dated. Some very minor soiling from storage. --$90--

Item WW32- WW1 unissued and 1918 dated US Army 45 automatic pistol clip pouch. Lift the dot snaps and in perfect condition. --$20--

Item WW33- WW1 First Aid bandage pouch. Dirty but servicable and dated 1918. --$22--

Item WW34- WW1 meat can and condiment can. Both in used servicable condition. Either one --$25--

Item WW35- M1910, lace up leggings. These are hard to find pre-WW1 leggings. Nice condition, used but servicable with the correct, brass tipped laces. --$45--

Item WW36- The standard WW1 legging most often found. Again, good servicable condition with the brass tipped laces. --$25--

Item WW37-This WWI US Army Trench Mirror is in unused condition, which was designed to be attached to end of a bayonet. The photograph shows WWI British troops using this minor which we copied from our ally like so many other items. I cannot find any markings on it. Great for reenacting or display. --Out of Stock--

Item WW38- Another nice officer's haversack. This one is actually named to a Sergeant, US Army. It is dated 1918 and has a British broad arrow. But is also has another large broad arrow stamp with a US underneith. Interesting. Leather strap and bottom are in great condition. No rips, tears or stains. There are a few minor wear spots on the leather but nothing that would detract from use or display. Rear pocket and button side pocket in addition to the standard inside sections. A very nice example with unique markings. --$125--

Item WW39- Nice item for the WW1 display. An early haversack. These were used in the early 1900s but saw use in WW1 as a useful bag for carrying rations and other items. These have loops on the back for a carry strap. 2 compartments with leather ties. Unit ID has been painted over. -- $20 each--
