A Choose and Cut Christmas Tree Farm





We are located in Northern California and have several varieties of trees from which you can select and cut your own Christmas tree.


We have picnic areas for the family, apple cider and other refreshments at our snack bar, and Santa Claus! on weekends.


We have been growing trees in California for thirty years, and have been open to the public for the last twenty-five years in the month of December. We grow Doug Fir, White Fir, Scotch Pine, Redwood, Sugar pine, and Cedar.


We feature trees up to 15' tall. We have wreaths for sale and cut boughs for decorating are available at no cost to you.


We are open weekdays from 11:00 a.m. till dusk and Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. till dusk beginning the Friday after Thanksgiving until December 20th.


Directions to RED FEATHER FARMS are as follows:

East on I-80, 36 miles above Sacramento, to the town of Applegate. Take the Applegate turn-off, turn right on Crother Road to Applegate Road. Turn left on Applegate to Boole Road. Make a right turn on Boole and stay on Boole for approximately 1-1/4 miles to yellow cattleguard. Cross to Red Feather Circle. We are approximately 3 miles from I-80. Bright fluorescent signs will direct you from the Applegate exit.
