This Treasure, our little boy, "Munch" always carried a special love for us and all who know him.
Jeff did well in his show, trial, and test career. He was a multiple Group Placer including Am Group II at two years of age. He completed his Championship just after his first birthday and his CD by 15 months of age. His beauty and compliance with the Terv standards were recognized with Championships in Bermuda and Canada; he was also a States Kennel Club Champion and Champion of the Americas (1990). He was in the Top Ten Belgian Tervuren in 1989.
CDX's weren't easy to come by in the beginning, but between May 1989 and October 1994 he has earned CDX titles in the United States, Bermuda, Canada, and Mexico.
Jeff did a great job looking for that lost glove - he added a TD to his accomplishments. This was the first of two successful TD tests in one day for Dick, the team/s water boy. Jeff was a natural when earning his HIC.
He was a great assistant with young pups playing with and protecting them. He was the first dog allowed near a new litter - he looked into the whelping box with great concern for the puppies well being and said "look at these new friends to play with and train."
Additionally, Jeff had his Therapy Dog International certification and in his spare time did patient visitation at our local hospital. He endeared himself with everyone that he meet through his gentle looks and calm manners. He was a LOVER - children and a climb into laps were his specialities.
Jeff had full dentition and a scissors bite. His coat carried rich red mahogany and he was square. His tight ears, dark almond shaped eyes and black face framed a magnificent head.
He was a good traveler, whether by plane or car. Jeff was an envoy at all times. He found more fun in individual play than the girls - "it's my time - I don't need to compete with the girls." His big game was HIS flyball machine.
This Treasure, our little boy, "Munch" always carried a special love for us and all who know him.
The day in April, 1993 when Jeff earned his TD was a very exciting day for everyone. It was that last half point that put Jessi over to earn her O-BAR - obedience bar. When Jeff completed tracking his track, Jessi passed her TD to give us our 1st Ch UDT and tracking didn't come easily in the early years. It took six years to make this wonderful accomplishment.
