The Terv standards states: "... alert and full of life. ... usually in motion when not under command..." and thus the "BUSY IZZI".
Izzi came to us at eight months and was going to "rule the roost"' and as the youngest had to learn a bit of respect for others. We got her just weeks after Jessi was killed and Sue was still devastated and not really ready to have another dog in the house at the time.
She was always with us, willing to learn something new, trying to please, a lady when doing Pet Therapy, but rain and mud were fun for play. She cherished showing off, especially "waggie", in the Conformation ring and whenever else requested.
Herding wasn't as much fun because Dick will not let her do it her way. She had to show a little control.... Agility was super fun.
Tracking: TD was quite easy; her TDX was a birthday present from Izzi and Dick to Sue; and the "cat's meow" her VST was passed at the 2005 ABTC National Specialty in San Jose in front of the home town gallery; this was the final piece for the Champion Tracker (AKC #92 all breeds), #6 Belgian Tervuren.
Obedience: Dick and Izzi weren't enthused with earning their CD and CDX,, but UD with Sue was great. The UD was the last title to make her a "Well Balanced Terv", the 1st for Sue to complete the total challenge. Sue had accomplished UD's on previous dogs. Unfortunately Dick wasn't there for this finale!
Izzi was Dick's primary Therapy Dog for his weekly hospital and nursing home visits. She not only got her TDIA, but was our first TDIAOV.
Chasing a tennis ball was her activity of choice - no, better yet two. She was always happy when making friends - a smile plus "waggie". Izzi had become our Special Girl and was a tremendous diplomat for our breed.
