Dick resisted learning agility for years (something new to learn) but two years ago while helping at the Redwood Belgian Tervuren Fanciers's Agility (RBTF)Trial, he won a "workers raffle agility single bar jump." It didn't get much use for over a year. Then he and Sue took a six week starter class and then not much until Rob Michalski started classes.
Dick took Toro to intermediate and Izzi to beginning classes. Toro progressed well but is a slow worker; Izzi progressed very rapidly. At the 2001 RBTF Agility Trial, Toro, Ch Symons' Treasure Harbor Light CD PT NA NAJ TT CGC TDI (pictured) earned both his NA and NAJ (four trials days, eight qualifies) and Izzi, Ch Symons' Treasure Izzi CDX TD PT NAJ TT earned her NAJ (four trial days, six qualifies). All classes were in Novice A. Now isn't that guts (stupidity) - two weekend, two dogs in two events each day - but what a way to break into agility!!! Thanks to the MANY that encouraged me.
