PLEASE KEEP RED TRAILER PARKING  GATE CLOSED  WHEN YOU RIDE AND LOCKED WHEN YOU ARE THE LAST ONE OUT  -

Just a note:  Cars may share the gravel area in front of the Red Gate.  This area is pretty full on Saturdays with Ball Players.  They should leave a lane open to the Red Gate.  If there are problems contact LBHA.

ALL DOGS MUST BE ON A LEASH. Most park visitors are abiding by this rule, but several horsemen have not.   Please , Please abide by the LEASH LAW when you come to ride at the arena. Many people bring young horses and when another rider lets their dog run free especially if it comes out of a cool spot next to the bleachers, or runs thru the Arena there could be an accident. This is a liability issue and no one wants a rider or a horse to be injured. Not all horses are so steady they can take a dog jumping in unexpectedly. Even a dead broke horse can be startled. Think what could happen if a beginning rider, young or old was on that horse. So please, if possible leave your dogs at home or if you can't, keep them tied to your trailer, but do not bring them down to the arena running free.

LBHA has spoken to the County on this issue and the following issue below- Park workers will be checking . They can ( as can anyone at the park ) call Animal Control and have the dog picked up at the owners expense. Parks is always worried about liability issues and this is exactly that, loose dogs can cause accidents.

One other reminder, and this is posted on the sign at the arena gate, NO LESSONS whether for barter, cash or what ever without a permit. This goes for groups as well as individuals. If you want to take a lesson or are giving lessons at the Arena, please contact LBHA so you can get a permit. Again this is to show that you have Liability Insurance. You will be required to submit a certificate of insurance naming both LBHA and the County as Also Insured and include a copy of the page in your Insurance Policy that names both as also insureds. . Contact LBHA for more info on the Permit Process.

The Arena at the Park is special and we have a special relationship with the county. PLEASE follow the rules so the entire horse community does not loose the privilege of having our arena at the Park. If you are riding at the arena and run into any safety problems or issues, please contact LBHA as soon as you can or let a park employee know so it can be taken care of.

Thanks for your attention. Have a safe ride at the arena and don't forget to close the gates after you enter and make sure they are LOCKED if you  are the last to leave. Don't always rely on the people after you to lock the gate, remind those still riding to lock gate..
