The Garlic Festival is our local version of Disneyland.

Many of our friends make a long journey to Gilroy to party, eat, dance, eat, drink (wine, beer, apricot freezes, water), and just have a good time. This is my favorite time of the year. It gets hot some times, but I love having our great friends share our house.

Here are a few pictures of our wild festival.

The case of the shrinking wine glass.

Expensive drinking at $1 a shot!

The question at the garlic festival soon became...

who could get the biggest shot of wine, and from whom.

And Tony's wife Nicole gracing the festival in '99

And sometimes they just get out of control, even at $1 a shot!

Paul, Tony, Niki, Ken, Sandy, and Sue

Luckily for me, they'll let anyone in.

Some people had to work the festival. This is part of the garlic cleaning competition. We scramble for garlic afterwards.
