Life was fun - a thrown ball or Frisbee or even the obedience ring. He was extremely fast and agile being able to catch the Frisbee eight feet in the air; spin and jump to catch the ball over his shoulder. He was a master of the flyball machine. Dagger was a very intense dog putting his whole heart into anything that he did. Dag learned rapidly and forgot nothing. He was always willing to learn something new, but repetition brought out Dagger's creativity.
He completed his CD and CDX in four trials each with ten months between (no pre-training of any Open exercises). He had two first places in Novice; in Open he had two second places and a forth. His only problem being Dick, who just wasn't fast enough to keep up.
Dagger learned that people were a great source of love; maybe they would even have a BALL or cookie. Adults would get tired of play, but children could last almost as long as Dagger. He had full dentition; was lean in body (too active); tan underlay with a solid black overlay. Dagger's full potential was never realized. He was killed in an auto accident at the age of four while staying with one of our children. As his obedience title indicates, Dagger was a 'Companion Dog EXCELLENT.'
