Wow, I actually need to create the New Year Newsletter file on my computer and change all the headings on the Newsletter. It‟s 2012!

Cheers to a wonderful new year with many opportunities, health and prosperity.

We had a fun Christmas Party in December with a big turn out and many members went home with some terrific raffle prizes. We elected a new (ish) board and hope to see some fresh ideas in the coming year for meeting presentations and maybe even some new members.

Traylor Ranch is holding its own and looking pretty decent if not spectacular this time of year. Dave Faoro is always looking for help on his workdays and the last couple of months the work crew out there has had somewhat of a break although Dave can be found poking around checking on things often.

My dear friend, Skip Outman needs our prayers, fairy dust, positive thoughts or whatever you wish to send his way. He is a long time horseman and has generously donated time and money to benefits all over Placer County and has already pledged a generous donation to our coming horse shows. Many of you may know Skip so if you do and you would like to keep up with his health updates you can visit his journal at caringbridge.com and search Skip Outman. You may email me privately for any other information. No calls or visits currently but he reads all the messages left for him on caringbridge.

Thank you for all your support in the past year. I‟ve learned a lot and met a lot of new people. It may seem like a big job being President but what I‟ve learned is it takes a lot of listening. You all do the work it takes to keep our LBHA running smoothly and for that I am most appreciative.
